Custom Test Tube Injection Mold
This custom Test Tube Mold is developed for injection molding general-purpose test tubes and laboratory test tubes. Tube dimensions, capacity, opening design, bottom geometry and other product features are defined from approved samples, 2D drawings or 3D models. Mold dimensions, mold weight and cavity quantity are customized according to the product design, required output and available production equipment.
The mold can be engineered for PP, PS and other confirmed thermoplastic materials. Resin grade, shrinkage, transparency, surface requirements and dimensional tolerances influence the core and cavity design, gate layout, cooling arrangement and processing window. Final technical values are based on the customer material data and approved project documents.
A hot runner system is specified for this project range. Gate position, hot runner configuration, cavity filling balance, venting, cooling channels and ejection method are designed according to the test tube geometry and injection machine conditions.
S136 and other suitable mold steels may be selected. The final steel grade, delivery condition, heat treatment and hardness are confirmed according to the resin, clarity requirement, surface finish, maintenance plan and target production life.
Under normal operation, correct use and regular maintenance, the target service life is more than 500,000 molding cycles. Actual mold life also depends on steel and heat-treatment quality, molding material, process settings, machine condition, operating practice and maintenance frequency.
Injection machine tonnage, shot capacity, platen dimensions, tie-bar spacing, mold thickness and ejection parameters are recommended after engineering evaluation. A standard custom Test Tube Mold is normally completed within 40–60 days after design approval. Actual timing is subject to design complexity, purchased components, machining, assembly, mold trials and sample confirmation.
