Custom Riot Shield Compression Mold
This Riot Shield Mold is developed for compression molding handheld protective shields with an integrated viewing-window area. It supports UHMWPE and other materials confirmed for the customer's product and process. Development can begin from a physical sample, approved 2D drawings or a 3D model, allowing the shield outline, curvature, window position, mounting points and edge profile to be matched to the required design.
The upper and lower tooling structure is engineered around the product geometry, material lay-up, target thickness, forming pressure and demolding conditions. Cavity quantity is customized according to production capacity and available equipment. Mold dimensions and weight are also determined project by project to ensure suitable platen coverage, daylight, stroke and handling conditions. The appropriate press is recommended after engineering evaluation rather than selected from mold size alone.
Available steel solutions include 718H, P20, H13 and other project-appropriate grades. Final steel and heat-treatment selection depends on production volume, forming conditions, surface requirements, budget and expected service life. Heating, cooling and temperature-control arrangements are customized according to the material system and customer equipment.
