Custom SMC Sectional Water Tank Panel Compression Mold
This custom Water Tank Mold uses a precision-matched upper and lower tool structure for hydraulic compression molding of SMC fiberglass sheet. It is developed for modular sectional water tank panels while retaining the approved panel geometry, perimeter rim, curved reinforcement transitions, flange and assembly requirements. The scope may include rectangular top, side and bottom panels, together with square manhole panels and circular covers.
Typical panel sizes include 1000 × 1000 mm, 800 × 800 mm and other dimensions confirmed by the customer. Cavity quantity, product geometry, mold dimensions and mold weight are customized according to the approved drawing, the required production capacity and the available hydraulic press. The mold structure also considers material charge placement, flow behavior, venting, draft, demolding and panel dimensional stability.
Available mold-steel options include heat-treated P20, pre-hardened 718H, vacuum-hardened H13 and other suitable tool-steel grades. Final steel and heat-treatment selection depends on the selected panel, production volume, molding temperature and pressure, surface requirements, expected mold life and project budget. Electric heating, oil heating, steam heating and customized temperature-control systems are available.
