Custom SMC Cable Branch Box Compression Mold
This custom Cable Branch Box Mold is developed for compression molding SMC cable branch box bodies, cabinet doors, bases and related enclosure components. The tool can be engineered from customer drawings, approved 3D data or physical samples. Product dimensions are customized rather than limited to a fixed catalogue size.
The mold structure and cavity quantity are evaluated according to the enclosure geometry, projected area, wall and rib arrangement, required surface finish, production demand and the customer's press. A suitable parting line, guiding system, venting arrangement and demolding solution are designed around the approved product structure.
H13 is an available confirmed steel option. Other tool-steel grades and heat-treatment solutions may be selected after engineering review of molding pressure, operating temperature, required surface quality, production volume, maintenance conditions and project budget. Final steel, heat treatment and hardness are recorded in the approved technical specification.
Electric heating, oil heating and other customized temperature-control solutions are available. Heating-zone layout, sensor positions and control requirements are matched to the SMC material, part geometry and press configuration. Stable and uniform temperature control supports consistent curing, dimensional stability and surface quality.
Under normal operation and maintenance conditions, the target service life is more than 500,000 molding cycles. Actual life depends on the approved steel and heat treatment, SMC formulation, molding temperature and pressure, operating practices, cleaning, lubrication and preventive maintenance.
Mold size and weight are customized to the product and press. Suitable press tonnage, platen dimensions, stroke, opening daylight and interface requirements are recommended after engineering evaluation. The expected lead time is 40–60 days, subject to design approval, material availability, manufacturing complexity, accessories, trial molding and sample confirmation.
