Food Container Injection Mold Series
The Food Container Mold series is developed for household food storage, meal preparation, takeaway packaging and general food-packaging applications. It can produce containers and matching lids in different sizes, capacities and structures. Product geometry, dimensions, weight and cavity quantity are customized according to customer samples, 2D drawings, 3D models and output requirements.
The molds use the injection-molding process and are suitable for PP and other plastics. The exact resin grade, shrinkage and processing window are confirmed during project evaluation so the cavity dimensions, gate arrangement, venting and cooling layout can be developed correctly. Multi-cavity configurations are available according to product size, target output and machine conditions.
Available mold-steel options include P20, 718H and S136. The final steel and heat-treatment solution is selected according to surface requirements, production volume, maintenance conditions and project budget. Mold life depends on steel, heat treatment, resin, molding parameters, operation and maintenance; the agreed target and conditions are stated in the quotation and approved documents.
A hot-runner feeding system is combined with water cooling. Runner layout, gate quantity, temperature-control zones and cooling circuits are engineered around the container design, cavity quantity and cycle requirements to support stable filling, balanced cooling and consistent demolding. The ejection or release method is customized for the approved product structure.
Overall mold dimensions and weight are project-specific. Injection-machine clamping force, shot capacity, platen size, tie-bar spacing, opening stroke and ejection conditions are recommended by engineers after evaluating the approved product and mold concept rather than applying a single standard machine specification.
The typical lead time is 40–60 days after design approval. Actual timing depends on product complexity, cavity quantity, steel and hot-runner components, machining progress and trial requirements. The technical solution is approved before manufacturing, followed by machining, assembly, agreed mold trials, adjustment, inspection and delivery.
