Injection Molding System

The molding system is the core of the mold, directly determining the product's shape and structure; it primarily consists of the "cavity" and the "core":

Cavity: Typically located in the stationary mold half (fixed to the injection molding machine), its internal contours precisely match the product's exterior surface-for instance, the curved body of a plastic cup or the outer surface of a mobile phone case is replicated by the cavity;

Core: Usually located in the moving mold half (which opens and closes with the machine), it forms the product's internal structure, such as the hollow interior of a cup, threaded holes, or snap-fit slots.

The machining precision required for the cavity and core is extremely high; for precision molds, dimensional deviations must be controlled within ±0.005 mm to ensure the finished product meets assembly or functional specifications.
